Patients attending surgery

A face to face appointment will normally be arranged after a telephone consultation with one of the Doctors.

If you are attending an appointment with the Practice Nurse, please wear clothing that will enable quick access to your arm so that she can conduct your vaccination, bloods or BP check quickly and efficiently.

It is vitally important if you are unable to attend an appointment that you contact reception as soon as possible to re-schedule, this will ensure that we use all appointments that are available.

Tests carried out at Hospitals/Private Clinics

Following advice from the British Medical Association we would like to advise the Patients of Laganview Medical Practice that our GPs do NOT access ECR or Encompass for any third party results.  It is the responsibility of the Clinician requesting the test to follow up with any results or forward these results via the correct channel.  We receive and process electronic and paper post every day in practice.  These documents are the COMPLETED report sent to us from hospital department, private clinics and all areas of healthcare settings.  Please DO NOT ask our staff to request that a GP "look up" results of tests they have not requested.  This is not safe practice.  Any queries relating to this should be directed back to the Clinician or body that ordered the test.

If you require a repeat prescription, please use our 24 hour repeat prescription line (028 92626451) and ensure you provide the name of your preferred chemist along with your name, date of birth, telephone contact number and the medication you wish to order.
